The Bijou Jubilee is the annual celebration of the spectacular, historic Bijou Theatre. It serves as the primary fundraiser to support this legendary cultural institution’s ongoing preservation and operation. For one night a year, Bijou friends and fans come together to toast this vibrant art, music, and cultural staple of East Tennessee.

This year, we’re thrilled to welcome the legendary Mavis Staples as our headlining artist. Mavis is a legendary singer and civil rights icon whose career spans over seven decades. As a member of the groundbreaking family group The Staple Singers, she delivered timeless hits like "I'll Take You There" and "Respect Yourself." A trailblazing voice in American music, Mavis has shaped the sound of soul, rhythm & blues, and rock for over seven decades. Her powerful vocals and timeless energy promise an electrifying performance, making this a Jubilee you won’t want to miss.

Enjoy live entertainment by DJ Soularia and Knoxville Gospel Choir, craft beverages from Fly By Night, and a full dinner buffet by Wells Station BBQ, featuring a selection of classic Southern mains and sides—the ultimate way to kick off a night of music, dancing, and celebration.
